Oliver Firth the man behind Firth Homes Ltd
As a younger person I studied Civil Engineering at Canterbury University completed up to 2nd Professional.
I then realised that my passion and talent was within the practical process of Building.
From there I worked for housing company and completed my apprenticeship Christchurch working on architectural homes, light commercial, fit out and heavy commercial.
From there I moved to Australia working in high-end projects as I moved around the continent

- Fit out carpentry Sydney
- Architectural homes in the Margaret River Region.
- Heavy & light commercial, high end Apartments, Homes, House Renovations in Tasmania
Upon returning to New Zealand I chose to settle in Christchurch working with in the field of new architectural homes or extensive high end home renovations, during this period I have also built a wide range of decks and created outdoor areas that are reflective and synpathetic to the existing building.
I have developed a broad range of skills and experience within the building industry including Site Supervision and the ability to work with Clients, Architects and Engineers and manage Subcontractors. I have a very sound ability to work with and understand structures and details from plan to completion.

The subcontractors that I work with are experienced tradesmen who also have an interest and belief in performing to a high standard.
My relaxation time involves a wide range of outdoor recreational activities. I am passionate about enjoying all that Canterbury has to offer, from up the mountains to in the ocean. I enjoy spending time with my family and showing my two children how to enjoy our environment.
